Synopsis: Charley sees dead people. That’s right, she sees dead people. And it’s her job to convince them to “go into the light.” But when these very dead people have died under less than ideal circumstances (i.e. murder), sometimes they want Charley to bring the bad guys to justice. Why read: Heard good things about the series

What impressed me: I'm going to have to stop saying that I don't generally enjoy ghost-based books if people like Darynda Jones keep writing books as good as this was. I seriously loved First Grave to the Right. Charley is flat-out awesome and the writing was hilarious in an extreme fashion - which never interfered with the small moments of sadness. Add in a great mystery and some sexy moments, and you have an absolutely fantastic read.

What disappointed me: Not a thing.

Recommended: Extremely. This is not a book you'll want to miss.
