About Me
My name is Jennifer and I am a 34 year old stay at home mom to 4 daughters ranging in age from 2 to 14 years old.

I love reading. And horror movies. And talking obsessively about my favorite TV shows (even those no longer on the air). I am, by no means, an expert on any of these things, but I like to think I I have a unique perspective. Or at least an occasionally tipsy one.

About This Blog
Pop Culture Breakdown originally began as Reading with Tequila, a book blog. As my reading time dwindled, I found myself watching more TV and movies. And, as opinionated as I am, I had a need to share my thoughts with others. Plus, a book blog just wasn't a place to share my personally created pop culture drinking games and they needed to be out in the world for all to enjoy.

Pop Culture Promoters
I would love to hear from you. Please visit my review policy page for information about review submissions and other promotional opportunities.

Reviews
Items are reviewed and rated based on my personal response them, not their cultural merit. I am not a professional reviewer and I'll happily leave the critical assessments up to them. My reviews are explanations of what I liked and what I didn't like. I don't expect everyone to agree with my thoughts and welcome differing opinions in the comments. I'm not always going to like what the majority does and vice versa.

Disclosure
I occasionally receive free stuff from people. Reviews and ratings are in no way influenced by promotional items. If I like it, I like it. If I don't, I don't. The source is of no concern.

Amazon sales links are included in each review. I receive a tiny percentage of the price of the item if you buy through one of these links. Read my full disclosure policy for more information.

  1. Hello!
I'd love to connect and collaborate with you (somehow!)
My work outlines practical and creative ideas inspired by love in the quest for wellbeing.
In Fit for Joy, I wrote about the paradox of two realities that don’t match: physical health and mental chaos. The idea was to start a conversation about the “true” meaning of health.
As a podcast host, I am in search of meaningful truths, ideas, and insights about mental and spiritual health that can awaken new ways of thinking, leading us toward a new way of being — Being Well."
