True Blood: All Together Now by Alan Ball

All Together Now by Alan Ball
2011, IDW Publishing
Series: Volume 1 of True Blood

Rating

Synopsis: Blood and sex mix on a hot rainy night at Merlotte's, when Sookie and her friends are trapped by a vengeful spirit who feeds on shame. People die and dirty secrets are revealed as Sookie, Bill, Eric, Sam, Tara, Jason, and Lafayette and are all coerced to dig deep and tell painful memories from their past....those things we all have locked within us that we never tell another living soul!

The Good: This graphic novel is drawn well, with all characters being easily recognizable. And it'll give you a True Blood fix if you're waiting for the next TV season to begin but don't want to read the books the series was based on.

The Bad: The storyline was kind of pointless, as all of the major "secrets" revealed were more-or-less known to those who actually watch the show. And I'm kind of confused as to why a graphic novel would be created based on a TV show that's already based on a book series. Haven't we sort of messed with the original characters enough? This felt like really tame, fan-fiction with pictures.
