Vampire Books
Ask a teen today what author started the vampire craze and they'll say Stephenie Meyer. Ask someone of my generation and they'll tell you Ann Rice. Ask a purist and they'll say Bram Stoker. Vampires have been the go-to monsters in literature for a very long time. I hear "zombies are the new vampires" almost as often as "pink is the new black." Let's face facts here people, zombies and pink may be here to stay, but vampires and black will always be classics.Best YA:
The Morganville Vampires series by Rachel Caine
The Vampire Queen series by Rebecca Maizel
The Department 19 series by Will Hill
Best Adult:
The Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter series by Laurell K. Hamilton
The Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost
The Nathaniel Cade series by Christopher Farnsworth
The Nightshade series by Michelle Rowen
The Rhiannon's Law series by J.A. Saare
And an extra I can't leave out:
The Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Season 8 graphic novels by Joss Whedon
Vampire Movies
There are thousands of vampire movies out there, more than even the most avid movie fan could watch in their lifetime. Some are fantastic, some mediocre and others are just plain awful (Jesus Christ, Vampire Hunter anyone?) I firmly believe that there is a vampire movie out there for every taste.Underworld (2003)
Queen of the Damned (2002)
From Dusk Till Dawn (1996)
Blade (1998)
The Lost Boys (1987)
