Zombie Books
Zombies are a recent literary obsession of mine and, seemingly, the reading world. So many very good zombie books are being published right now. Because of this, the oldest book on my list only came out a few years ago. Best YA:
The Benny Imura series by Jonathan Maberry
The Ashes Trilogy by Ilsa J. Bick
Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion
Dearly, Departed by Lia Habel
Best Adult:
The Newsflesh Trilogy by Mira Grant
Rise Again by Ben Tripp
Allison Hewitt is Trapped by Madeline Roux
Dead of Night by Jonathan Maberry
And an extra that I can't leave out:
The Walking Dead graphic novels by Robert Kirkman
Zombie Movies
Zombie movies have been around since the days of the silent film. They came and went with little fanfare until George A. Romero's indie cult classic Night of the Living Dead found its following. Since then, zombie movies have steadily become more popular with mainstream moviegoers. I enjoy a little humor in my horror movies, so be warned my favorites on this list and the rest of the week will be a bit heavy with horror comedies.Dawn of the Dead (2004)
Zombieland (2009)
Shaun of the Dead (2004)
Resident Evil (2002)
The Return of the Living Dead (1985)
