I had heard great things about the Stephanie Plum mystery series for years, but still found myself surprised at how well the humor and the mysteries mixed. Stephanie is a wonderful character in that she can be strong, independent and sassy even while having no clue what she's doing.

Stephanie Plum - Former lingerie buyer turned bounty hunter. Smart mouthed and usually in over her head.
Joe Morelli - Police officer and Stephanie's on-again-off-again boyfriend.
Ranger - Sexy bounty hunter that helps Stephanie out and tempts her physically whenever possible.
Lula - Plus-sized former prostitute turned office assistant and occasionally Stephanie's partner
Grandma Mazur - Stephanie's grandma, who always manages to get herself into trouble.
