Bonk by Mary Roach

Bonk by Mary Roach
2008, W. W. Norton & Co.

Synopsis: The bestselling author of "Stiff" turns her outrageous curiosity and infectious wit on the most alluring scientific subject of all: sex.

Why read: Heard great things about Roach's writing.

What impressed me: I'm always fearful that non-fiction books like this will be dry. Mary Roach's writing is far from dry, keeping a fun topic serious, yet entertaining. She asks questions we wouldn't even think of, getting to the bottom of a variety of myths and preconceived notions about sex. Highly educational, but manages to remain light throughout.

What disappointed me: Not a thing.

Recommended: Absolutely. This is an entertaining version of sex ed. for adults and I would make this required reading if I could.
