1. Threads and Flames by Esther M. Friesner - Took something boring and made it interesting


2. Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom - Sappy is never my thing

3. Mockingbird: A Portrait of Harper Lee by Charles J. Shields - Biographies almost always fail for me

4. The Red Tent by Anita Diamant - Biblical books rank up there with sappy and biographies

5. The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory - Hello, scandal!

5 I Liked Less Than I Thought I Would

1. Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll - Too trippy


2. Kraken by China Mieville - Too jumbled

3. A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess - Too much ridiculous slang

4. The Gunslinger by Stephen King - More western than my taste

5. Delirium by Lauren Oliver - Totally unbelievable
